The American Society of Media Photographers South Florida Chapter (ASMP/SF) is proposing a free multimedia display of its members' work at Miami International Airport. The proposal includes interior and exterior displays. Traditional displays of mounted photographs would be found throughout MIA. These images would be complimented with projected images on the interior and exterior walls. Sponsorships would be solicited by the local chapter to offset any costs which, in effect, would mean it's free to MIA. The full proposal will be delivered by the first of August, 2008.

Founded over 64 years ago, the ASMP is the leading trade association for photographers who photograph primarily for publication. Founded to promote standards, ethics, community, camaraderie, and to protect the rights of photographers, the ASMP currently has over 5,000 members in 39 chapters around the country. 260 of those members belong to the South Florida chapter. It would be unfair-- and almost impossible-- to select one representative photo of the award-winning work of our group, so please feel free to visit our site linked above to see some examples. On it you will discover the "Find A Photographer" tab. There you will be able to dig deeper in search of a particular photographer or by theme or style.
